~My First Century is officially in the bag, 100 miles on a bike is quite the experience. I travelled to Maryland and met up with 5 other spin instructor buddies. Our goal was to finish and to have a good time. We finished and had the time of our lives. Next year we're hoping to get more people involved, it is a flat ride and the race and fuel stations are put together very well.
Seagull Century Memories
~Swarming bee's and pouring down rain at the start isn't a good sign. Thank you God for drying up the skies and providing Benedryl for my peeps.
~Gear problems at the start can't really be good. Thank you Bike Shop tent for hooking my sista' up!
~"On Your Left" means move over to the right so I don't run into the back of you.
~Are you really wearing that?
~Mr. Newton & Mrs. Nuun helped my energy all day!
~"Dude you rock, riding that Unicycle for 100 miles."
~"Can I ride your wheel for a while?" Uh.......
~Moe, our 6th riding partner that had tree trunk legs.
~"Can you stick that bell somewhere Mister!!!!" "Ring that bell at me again?!"
~Miles 60-80 were the hardest.....wind.....rain.....wind.....cold
~Never leave your friends on a ride! NEVER!!! :(
~Margarita's, crab dip, & chocolate cake are nice after a 100 mile bike ride.
~As you nestle down to sleep you are awoken to a fire drill 2x where you go out to the parking lot and see a slew of tired Century riders. Wasn't funny, until later.....
Thank You
Twin, Bobby B, Debs, McMahon, & The Beast!
