Spin instructors are on a mission to stop contraindicated moves in the spin room. If you ever see this going on in a spin room near you, get off the bike and leave. Master Instructor Jennifer Sage wrote about this at length on her blog if you want to read more about this.
BTW, I think Angela needs a man not a bike. Follow this simple philosophy, "if you wouldn't or couldn't do it on your road bike, don't do it on a spin bike."
Ok...Rant over....

I'se gonna say, she needs a pole... LOL... ok. I sawry :-)
Ok...if my spin instructor ever does this...she's getting punched...right before I leave....
I'd have a hard enough time keeping up with just the spinning, I can't imagine doing these gyrations too.
SO, a spin instructor shouldn't be doing stripper moves on a bike? Hmmmmm....
O, sister, I am SOOO doing this to Morrissey!
(Joke)
am I wrong but is that a porn video while spinning. Not for me! If I want to get "nasty" it will be with my husband. Spin class should be more fitness focused.
I am with you!
I think you are going to have a divided Male vs. Female response on this one, or I hope you do. OH BABY!!!
As a side note, that is exactly the way we ride on Sunday's down here in Florida. The tough part is swaying while not holding onto the handle bars... takes skill.
Part of the reason I won't spin..they want to make it a freakin aerobics class. I want a road ride not a step class...
This is HORRIBLE! OMG!
Did she seriously just say "spingasm??"
Yes Jennifer, she did. i think they're humping the saddle early on in the video when they're leaning over chin near the handlebars, arms extending down. WTF is that move?? Ya gotta wonder if they actually get a cardiovascular workout, at least in the video it's very slow pedaling!
...if you can do it on a roadbike (or mountain bike) don't do it on a spin bike...
Okay, now I KNOW I've done this before. I've had some pretty crazy spin instructors over the years. I think I've seen and done everything at least once. How about 300 jumps in one session?? Or the hover? Ouch!
When I taught fitness classes, I was always amazed how many women loved dance moves in their workouts (very few wanted to do anything that resembled real sports). So I could see how that type of workout would be appealing.
