5 more things...

I'll remember about summer 09'

1. Being on Red Rover....

-I love the outdoor biking season.  The Seagull Century is 51 days from now so I'm in full training mode.  I love the freedom of getting on your bike and feeling the wind in your face, the burn in your legs, & the tires pull on the road.  I try to take this experience and make it come alive in the spin room but unless you "get out there" you'll never know how great being on your bike will ever feel.  Thanks for the memories Red Rover!

2.  Spending time with these guys!

3.  Sitting on this....

-My beach chair! No, that's not me but I bet "G" wishes it were.

-No matter wear I sit you down be it the beach, Ocean Breeze, or the soccer field you never let me down and always make me feel comfortable.  I'll be sad when I put you in storage for the year.
That lady sure knows how to work that beach chair!

4.  Outdoor Coffee

-Recently my husband and I remodeled our backyard deck area.  We sit out there almost every morning listening to the birds, catching up, and sipping our yummy Starbucks.  Our newest discovery is the Rwanda brand coffee from Starbucks.

5.  Running Skorts!

-Running, spinning, shopping, or cleaning you'll catch me wearing one of these! The summer wear will rotate into fall wear and I'll be wearing capri's & pants.  I'm a real puss in the cooler months.  You may ask, "Shannon you spin in that skort?" You bet I know how to work a skirt on the bike.  Now on to Title Nine to look for some cute pants to run, spin, shop, & clean in. Any recommendations?

How was your summer?

every chair should come with a big breasted chica. I know I got mine ;-) and a bike. Definitely a bike.....

I love sitting outside and enjoying my coffee too, but for me, that usually means winter time, not summer. It's broiling out there and drinking coffee in the heat just seems masochistic.

even though it's Africa hot here in Houton, TX - I enjoy being outdoors - most times. And even with that - being outside on your bike is a beautiful thing. RIDE ON!!

I need to name my bike, although that seems to be a girl thing. Sorry I can't help with girl wear, I gave up my skorts after I got married ;)

Pfffttt! You're hotter than her, sister.

But when you said, "Sitting on this" I wasn't thinking you meant teh chair (if you get my drift), and teh thought of you and her on that chair together in your short, short skorts

...

well ... that was even HAWTER.

To me, summer of '09 = the summer I sweated my n*ts@ck pert near off in a 5k race.

Hey Shan,
I agree... this is THE best time of year for outdoor biking even given the hot temps. There is almost NOTHING that can't be cured or at least be sorted out on a long (or short) bike ride. Some of my best reality checks have come on LSD bikes in the early morning hours when the roads are abandoned and it's only the birds, rabbits and me. (and an occasional deer).

Great shots of the kids. Loving the little mans cut! I hope that G has a plan to beat of the callers that will come knocking .......

Starbucks how I love the .... let me count the ways....

My summer has been FANTASTIC. Good times. Love the running skort. Don't htink it would work on me, but they always look cute on other people.

I was right there with you on every single one of them until you got to the skirt. My legs are too skinny for a skirt that short;)

You are so right about that feeling of the wind in your face and the rubber on the road! Oh, and stop being a "puss" and get you some cold weather gear. The stuff works as long as it doesn't get down below 40. Anything below 40 is a little too cold for me. If you have the right gear, riding in the winter can be incredible too. Crisp, cold, quiet mornings with lights until the sunrise! I'm getting excited thinking about it :-)

Wow. That really makes me wish I had a beach chair.

Summer is awesome, but fall is pretty great, too. Cooler temps and cyclocross are just around the corner!
