5 Things I Love About Races!

(How could I only pick my) Top 5...

#1 Racing & Celebrating with Good Friends

#2 Brotherly Love

#3 Shopping at the Sports Expo

#4 Eating Pasta & Not Feeling Guilty About It!

#5 Setting A New PR!
2:09:49!!!

~I sure like a nine minute gain on my old PR- 2:18:10.  Now I have my sights on getting under 2:00:00 which should be attainable.  I'm still on a runner's high from last weekend, I love that feeling you have right after a race.  You feel awesome and accomplished! I had a great time doing Shamrock this year and now Penny, Sam, John, (hopefully Bob), (maybe BP), and I have our "sharpie" pens out to scribble in Shamrock 2010!!!!

Want to join us? I'm a great hostess.

Nothing like a stack of pancakes, sausage and good friends after a race....
That's the one thing I miss since I now race to train and only do one per year.

I'm learning to love races, I didn't used to..they stressed me out...a little like this one with 8 inches of snow potentially tomorrow.

And yes ma'am I am lifting weights, just not yesterday!

Congrats again on the PR!! I like your list of race thanks.

I'm loving my tracks. Makes my spin "cycle" that much better!

So, what's next on your race list?

Haha! Way to kick your old PR's @$$, sister!

I can and do live without cake and cookies and a bunch of other shiz that raises my cholesterol, but I couldn't live without pasta!

Mmmmm ... I'm definitely gonna get me some PASTA today!

The prunes really just added a good sweetness. It was one of the tastiest shakes so far!!

You know I really like Celestial Seasonings and it's what I started drinking after coming back from Europe...but I guess I'm not a tea conossieur

There might be something psychological about hitting a new PR, but there is also something physical! And it carries over to your next workouts or races. You are on your way!
